To configure Microsoft Entourage 2008 to send and receive email, please follow the instructions below

1. Open Entourage.
2. From the 'Entourage' menu, choose 'Account Settings'.

   

3. Click the 'Mail' button and click on 'New' button.

   

4. - Enter your full email address username@my-domain-temple.net. (Replace my-domain-temple.net with your domain.) in the 'Email address:' field.
   - Click on 'Configure account manually'.
   NOTE: (mt) Media Temple does not support the auto configuration feature on our mail servers, so you should use the 'Configure account manually' feature.

5. Enter 'Account Name' as you want it to appear in the accounts screen.
   - Enter 'Your Name' as you want it to appear.
   - Enter your full email address username@your-domain.com. (Note: replace your-domain.com with your domain.) in the 'Email address:' field.
   - Enter your full email address username@your-domain.com. (Note: replace your-domain.com with your domain.) in the 'Account ID:' field.
   - Enter 'mail.your-domain.com' (Note: replace your-domain.com with your domain.) in the 'POP server:' field.
   - Enter your email password in the 'Password:' field
   - Enter 'mail.your-domain.com' (Note: replace your-domain.com with your domain.) in the 'SMTP server:' field.
   - Click on the 'Click here for advanced sending options' to setup advanced sending option.

   

6. - Mark the checkbox 'SMTP service requires secure connection (SSL)'
   - Mark the checkbox 'SMTP server requires authentication' and then select 'Log on using'
   - Enter your full email address username@your-domain.com. (Note: replace your-domain.com with your domain.) in the 'Account ID:' field.
   - Enter your email password in the 'Password:' field

   

7. Click on the 'OK' button. Congratulations,you have finished setting up your email account!
